In an independent study [?] using 8 week old birds, Tiamutin was given at 0.0125% and 0.025% and tylosin at 0.05% in the drinking water over a 48 hour period. Tiamutin achieved 3 and 6 times higher serum levels respectively than tylosin even though it was given at 4 and 2 times the concentration. (See chart and table below).
