Tiamutin - Increased egg production and FCE

World-wide trials have shown that Tiamutin fed at 20ppm continuously during the laying period, consistently showed improvements in egg production on average 5.6% - which is equivalent to 17 eggs over a 52 week laying period. Tiamulin was also shown to out-perform tylosin at 38.5 - 50ppm which produced only 0.1% improvement in egg production.

The 10 trial results are summarised below:

Dose - response effect of Tiamutin® (tiamulin) on egg production

There is a distinct dose response with 15- 20ppm tiamulin fed continuously and 50ppm pulsed 1 week in 4, giving a consistent 5% improvement in egg production.

Seven of the trials recorded food conversion efficiency results and are summarised below:

Dose - response effect of Tiamutin® (tiamulin) on feed conversion efficiency

Tiamulin at 15-20 ppm gave the optimum effect on feed conversion efficiency, improving it by over 5%.

Tiamulin 50ppm pulsed 1 week in 4 only gave a small response of 1% and tylosin 38.5-50ppm fed continuously gave 1.3%.
