Tiamutin - product safety

Tiamutin has been shown to be non-mutagenic, non-carcinogenic and non-teratogenic. Tiamutin is classified by the US Government as a substance with negligible health hazard potential and with a low probability of exposure and is thus considered as a preparation of low toxicological risk for man as a consumer.

Tiamutin is unrelated to human use antibiotics and does not share patterns of resistance with them. As it is not used in human medicine Tiamutin represents a truly “prudent choice” for the effective control of Enzootic pneumonia, PRDC, Pleuropneumonia, PHE/Ileitis, Swine dysentery and PCS.
