Trial by Møller and others (1998)

Møller and others (1998) [?] reported on the successful control of naturally occurring ileitis + PCS in Denmark with Tiamutin® Premix. Two groups of 62 pigs were either infected, unmedicated or infected and medicated with Tiamutin Premix at 150 ppm thf for 21 consecutive days. The reported productivity (average daily gain and feed conversion efficiency) figures were follows:

Trial by Haugegaard and others (2000)

Haugegaard and others (2000) [?] also reported from Denmark on the use of Tiamutin® Premix for the control of mixed PCS + ileitis infection. In this report 150 ppm thf was used for a period of 14 consecutive days in one group (60 pigs) and the remaining group were treated with a placebo (60 pigs) for 14 days. The study lasted for 21 days.
