Glossop, Edwards and Cobb (2000) [?] in UK reported to Novartis Animal Health on the results of a study with Tiamutin® Premix to treat and control PCS infection. A level of 100 ppm tiamulin hydrogen fumarate was used for a trial period of 12 consecutive days.
There were major benefits in productivity (average daily gain and feed conversion efficiency) recorded for the Tiamutin medicated group compared to the unmedicated, infected control group, as shown below:
